Pera Padala trips Koreans in Pangaea tilt

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Pera Padala, one of the only two local teams that joined the recently concluded three-day Pangaea Cup, emerged champion in the Super Division, edging the visiting Korea Guzzlers in the finals, 5-2.

The other local team, Entom Tigers likewise ruled the Club Division with an impressive 21-6 victory over the Taipei Top Kings at the Clark Parade grounds inside the sprawling Clark Economic Zone, making it two of two for the homegrown teams that competed against 11 foreign squads.

In Division A, Fattboyz scored a lopsided 24-0 win over the Hong Kong Gas Hogs to rule the 20-year-old division in the tournament sponsored by Clark Development Corp., San Miguel Corp., DOT Region III, Tequila Reef, Palazzo & Co. LLC, Greenlight LED Solutions Inc., and organized by Pureplay Sports.
