Ateneo Mini PAYA champion

MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo team upended a fierce-fighting La Salle Zobel, 74-67, and won the Mini PAYA basketball tournament recently.

The Ateneans advanced to the finals after upstaging Xavier School, 70-62. Kean Herrera scored a three-pointer to break the momentum of the chasing Xavier School team.

Xavier Jorvina and Martin Baligod topscored for Ateneo with 15 points apiece followed by James Gotladera with 13pts.

The team includes Carlos Agpoon, Gabriel Campos, Emilio Daez, Rap Escalona, Gabe Laud, Carlo Lopa, Manu Guzman, Jed Ramos and Elian Sinson. The squad is coached by Jutes Templo and Mac Aseron.
