Django February top money earner

MANILA, Philippines - Francisco “Django” Bustamante earned $38,000 to lead two other Filipino cue masters in the money ranking for February, according to www.azbilliards.com.

Bustamante, 49, topped the Derby City Classic Master of the Table and the Derby City Classic Banks Division while finishing second in Derby City Classic One Pocket Division and sixth in the Derby Classic 9-Ball Division to emerge the month’s top money earner.

World No. 2 Dennis Orcollo earned $22,000 from his victory in the Derby City Classic Bigfoot 10-Ball Challenge while former world champion Alex Pagulayan took the third spot with $21,250.

Orcollo also finished sixth in the Derby City Classic Banks Division, ninth in the Derby City Classic One Pocket Division and 34th in the Derby City Classic 9-Ball Division.

Pagulayan bagged $16,000 in ruling the Derby City Classic 9-Ball Division. He also placed third in the Derby City Classic Master of the Table, fifth in the Derby City Classic Bigfoot 10-Ball Challenge, 17th in the Derby City Classic Banks Division and 22nd in the Derby City Classic One Pocket Division.

Rounding up the Top 10 are Shane Van Boening ($16,350), Corey Deuel ($13,950), Niels Feijen ($12,550), Johnny Archer ($10,650), Justin Hall ($10,150), Ga-Young Kim ($10,000) and Shawn Putnam ($8,800).
