S’woods Brainmaster seniors invit’l slated

MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Southwoods Seniors Invitational sponsored by Brainmaster stages one of its premier two-man team tournaments on Feb. 12-13 with another banner field seeing action at the Legends and Masters Courses in Carmona, Cavite.

To accommodate the big numbers of entries, the organizing Manila Southwoods Seniors Chapter, headed by president Jose Cedo and vice president and tournament chair Paco Gonzalez, said the event, backed by hole-in-one sponsors Toyota Balintawak and Yamaha by Kart Plaza, will use a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

The first day action will be played at the bunker-riddled Legends course while the final round will be held at the hazard-laden Masters layout.

Play will be medal in the two-man team aggregate event with each squad to be made up of a Southwoods senior member and guest from other clubs both aged 55 years and above.

The maximum handicap for guests is 24 with the team handicap to be determined by combining the players’ handicaps divided by two.

Titles to be disputed are Division I (team handicap from 0-12), Division 2 (13-24), Division 3 (25-36) and Division IV (Super Seniors – 75 years old and above).

The fifth staging of the annual event is supported by annual hole sponsors Brainmaster for “Senior Moments,” Romago Inc., Electro Mechanical Products, Int’l., Inc., Asia Pacific Golf Corp., Fabriduct & Metal Systems, Inc., Rudy Project Phils., Red Eagle Lending Investors Corp., Warbird Security & Investigation Agency, Inc. and Tocoms Phils.
