LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – This province is set again to host another big national sports event with the staging of the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) meet here on Feb. 11-16.

This, as the provincial board yesterday approved a resolution authorizing Gov. Amado Espino Jr. to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the PRISAA represented by its president, lawyer Gonzalo Duque, for the hosting of the 2013 national PRISAA Games in Pangasinan.

The province, through the approved resolution, is willing to execute a MOA with the PRISAA for its commitment to forge a harmonious working relationship with the said sports body for the holding of the upcoming 2013 national PRISAA Games in Pangasinan, the resolution partly said.

Around 6,000 athletes, coaches and game officials from 17 regions of the country are participating.

Lawyer Verna Perez, secretary to the provincial board, said a series of consultation with the organizers has been made and the provincial government of Pangasinan has been preparing for the biggest and longest-running sports spectacle in the collegiate level.
