BEST volley season up

MANILA, Philippines -  A total of 63 teams will compete in four divisions of the Best Center-organized and Milo-sponsored 17th Women’s Volleyball League which gets going Sunday at the Xavier School courts.

Former national coach Florentino “Kid” Santos is the tournament commissioner with Monica Jorge, daughter of Best Center founder and president Nic Jorge, as his assistant.

Competing in the 13-Under Developmental Division are Assumption Antipolo, Assumption College, Baesa Adventist Elementary School, Child Jesus of Prague School, Colegio San Agustin-Makati, Holy Family School, Jubilee Christian Academy, King Solomon Christian School International;

La Salle College-Antipolo, Saint Pedro Poveda College, San Beda-Alabang, School of St. Anthony, Southville International School and Colleges, St. James Academy, St. Joseph School of Fairview, St. Paul College-Makati, St. Scholastica’s-Manila and St. Scholastica’s-Westgrove.

The 13-Under Competitive Division will have Colegio San Agustin-Makati, Dr. Rafael V. Palma Elementary School, Saint Pedro Poveda, SBC-Alabang and St. Scholastica’s-Manila as participants.

Taking part in the 17-Under Developmental Division are Assumption-Antipolo, Assumption College, Baesa Adventist, Child Jesus of Prague, Colegio de Sta. Rosa-Makati, Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan, Inc., Espiritu Santo Parochial School, Holy Trinity Academy, Immaculate Concepcion Academy, Immaculate Heart of Mary College, La Salle-Antipolo, Miriam College, O.B. Montessori Center-Greenhills, Philippine Women’s University, PWU-JASMS, Saint. Pedro Poveda, SBC-Alabang;

SAS, School of the Holy Spirit, St. Bridget School,  St. Joseph-Fairview, St. Mary’s College, St. Paul-Makati,  St. Peter the Apostle School, St. Scholastica’s-Manila, St. Scholastica’s-Westgrove, St. Theresa’s College and UP-Integrated School.

The 17-under Competitive Division will have as entries Colegio-San Agustin, Holy Family School, Hope Christian High School, King’s Montessori, Paref-Rosehill, PWU-JASMS, San Antonio de Padua College, SBC-Alabang, St. James Academy, St. Scholastica’s Manila, St. Theresa’s College and The Academy of God’s Children.
