JOHANNESBURG (AP) — South Africa's Olympic committee says Olympic mountain biker Burry Stander was killed in a road accident while he was training.
The sports body says in a statement on Thursday that 25-year-old Stander was killed in a collision with a taxi near his home in South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal province.
Stander competed in the Beijing Games in 2008 and in London this summer, where he finished fifth.
