Cag-Ong faces Gonzales

MANILA, Philippines - Dizon Cag-Ong and Sonny Gonzales headline the pre-Christmas Day presentation of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner starting at 7 tonight over PTV-4.

The match, set for 10 rounds at lightweight, is presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and Petron.

Nicknamed the “Bad Boy,” Cag-Ong is from Matalom, Leyte, while Gonzales hails from Tiwi, Albay.

The fight is part of the undercard in the WBO Asia-Pacific light-welterweight title bout between Filipino Jay “Rapido” Solmiano and Indonesian Rusmin Kie Raha held at the Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.

Co-presented by ARCI Gabriel boxing promotions and Brusmick boxing promotion, and sponsored by Venice Piazza, Megaworld, Razon’s of Guagua, and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, the boxing card is dubbed “Mandirigmang Pinoy-Battle at McKinley Hill.”
