MANILA, Philippines – The Letran Knights, Adamson Falcons and Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals continued to stamp their class in the 9th Fr. Martin Cup Collegiate Open basketball tournament.

Kevin Racal and Mark Cruz sizzled with 20 and 18 points for the Knights, who outplayed the University of the Philippines Maroons, 82-65, last Saturday at the Arellano University gymnasium in Legarda, Manila.

Gian Abrigo and six-foot-eight Ingrid Sewa led with 19 and 15 points as the Adamson Falcons won over the Informatics Icons, 76-66.

Noube Happi banged in 18 points for the Generals, who turned back the Mapua Cardinals, 62-55.

The Knights, who bounced from a 55-69 loss to the defending champion San Beda Red Lions, marched to their second triumph in three games in Group A.

The Falcons picked up their second straight triumph in Group B.

The Generals leaned on back-to-back triples by John Jamon in the last two minutes to help them earn their second win three games.

Cruz poured in nine points in the third period for the Knights, who moved out of range, 66-53, at the end of the third period.

Sewa unloaded 10 points in the final canto as the Falcons moved away by 10 at endgame.

Jamon’s treys came with 1:43 to go and gave the Generals a 62-55 cushion in the remaining 1:43.
