MANILA, Philippines - Butch Brodett re-asserted his mastery over the Class A field and kept the crown for the second straight trimester with a net 69 in the Manila Southwoods Seniors Trimester Birthday Bash and pre-Christmas golf tournament at the Masters Course in Carmona, Cavite recently.

Brodett, who also ruled the second trimester tournament last August, turned in a gross 79 at the hazard-laden layout for a net 69 as he beat Danny Gutierrez, who had a net 75 from a gross 87, by six in the premier class of the annual event organized by the Southwoods Seniors Chapter headed by president Jose Cedo and vice president/tournament chairman Paco Gonzalez.

Manolo Agojo shot a gross 82 for a net 63 as he defeated Mentz Deguito, who had a net 67 from a gross 80, by four to clinch the Class B title while Paul Ermitaño fired a net 61 from a gross 94 to hold off last year’s winner Ed Pozon, who made a gross 94 for a net 63, for the Class C crown in the 18-hole tournament backed by hole-in-one sponsors Mizuno Sports Corp. and Wilson Sports.
