MANILA, Philippines - Fil-Am Treat Huey and Jurence Mendoza whisked off their respective rivals with relative ease to join the other fancied bets in the second round of the PCA Open Tennis Championships at the PCA course in Paco, Manila yesterday.
Huey, a veteran Davis Cupper, booted out Enrique Ferrer with a 6-2, 6-0 romp while the 16-year-old Mendoza overpowered John Altiche, 6-1, 6-3, in two of the only three men’s singles matches slated on the second day of action in the event presented by Cebuana Lhuillier.

They are all expected to figure in the later rounds of the event along with opening day winners Ruben Gonzales, Johnny Arcilla, Jeson Patrombon, Francis Casey Alcantara and top seed Fil-German Mark Sieber, who blanked Jarryd Manduriao, 6-0, 6-0.
