Top Phl skaters vs foreign bets
MANILA, Philippines - The country’s best figure skaters will go up against the leading bets from the United States and Switzerland in the Philippine National Figure Skating Championships tomorrow and Sunday at SM Mall of Asia’s Ice Skating Rink.
Forty-four competitors will fight it out for top honors in various divisions, including 11 from the US and Switzerland as well as recently ranked world No. 10 by ISU Michael Martinez.
The event, open for amateur and pro skaters, also serves as selection for members of the national team vying in various international tournaments, including the World Figure Skating Championships, the World Junior Figure Skating Championships, the Four Continents and the Winter Olympics.
The PNFSC is the competing body endorsed by the Philippine Skating Union.
