Mina, Uy top ABC Corp Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Ruben Mina of Duraflex THW Wires rolled an eight-game series of 1673 to beat Robert Olete of JS Alvarez Elect. Contractor with identical score through hi-lo tiebreak to cop the Group I crown while Ariel Uy of Boysen Wallguard bagged the Group 2 plum with a 1390 in the Architects Bowling Club’s Corporate Cup finals at the E Lanes Center in Greenhills, San Juan last week.

Boyet Libiran of American Wires came in third in Group I with a 1643 followed by Jerry Cham of Boysen Perlecente, who had a 1617, in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Edna Beltran of Boysen Acrytex submitted 1379, Malou del Rosario had 1354 of Randy Poon of Duraflex TW Wires shot 1332 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, the tournament, backed by La Vida Verde, ABC Phils., Boysen Healthy Homes/Virtuoso/Knoxout, Duraflex THHN Wires, Concrete Ventures, Philflex Wires and Cables, Colorsteel, Moldex Pipes, We Konstruct, Steeltech, Crown Pipes Supreme, HCG Phils., Firefly-Royu, Emerald Pipes and Atlanta Pipes, resumes at 3 p.m. today for AGC golfers and at 7 tonight for other ABC members and sponsors, also at E Lanes.
