Jackes sets out for Mini ROK Cup crown today

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - National Series Mini-ROK champ Flynn Jackes of Tuason Racing-Castrol  Team seeks a repeat over his rivals in the last two races to capture the Mini-ROK Cup today at the Carmona Racetrack.

Jackes, 9,  hopes to clinch his second straight Mini-ROK title after winning the same plum in the Coca-Cola Karting Super Series to complete a Triple Crown for the TRS-Castrol Racing Kids Team powered by Castrol, Bridgestone, Standard Insurance, C! Magazine, OMP, Coke Zero, Oakley, Aguila and Toptul.

The last two races of the three-leg Mini-ROK Cup should also prepare   him for the third goal this season – to win the Asian Mini-ROK crown against equally talented Indonesians in the last two rounds of the 2012 Asian Karting Open Championship set Dec.15-16 in Sentul, Indonesia.

Winning the Asian Mini-ROK plum will not only regain the crown Philippines last won in 2009 but will also give Jackes his own niche in Philippine Karting history as the first kid to win a Triple Crown.

“Flynn’s milestone feat will be another testimony to the success of the Tuason Racing School Race Career Management Program (TRS-RCM) in developing future racing champions,” said JP Tuason, Tuason Racing School founder and president, whose vision is to see young racers achieve a successful career path in motorsports and develop them into world-caliber racing champions by providing them with available programs and racing avenues abroad through its partnerships in Asia, US and Europe.
