Nicklaus course hosts Sherwood Cup tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - A Jack Nicklaus-designed par-72 course will test the mettle and accuracy of golfers in the Sherwood Cup tomorrow at the Sherwood Hills Golf and Country Club.

The Sherwood Hills Golf Club, under Harry Paltongan, is at the height of preparations to ensure that the fairways are green and pristine like the fast undulating greens – the way designer Jack Nicklaus envisioned Sherwood Hills –in time for the three-man team competition sponsored by Sagada Construction and Concrete Ventures.

The event, to be held under a modified scramble format, is organized as a yearend event by the club’s new manager and leading affordable housing firm, the Suntrust Properties Inc. (SPI).
