Magnolia chess tourney tomorrow
MANILA, Philippines - The Magnolia first Saturday chess tournament gets going tomorrow with another huge field expected at the Perez Bldg. Doña Soledad Ave. cor. Australia St., Better Living Subd., Parañaque City.
Cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs in the tournament, which is open to all untitled and rated players with NCFP rating of 1950.
Events on tap are the seniors, college, high school, elementary and female division.
The tournament is organized by the Parañaque Chess Association, headed by Dr. Bong Perez, and sponsored by Tagaytay Mayor Bambol Tolentino, Rep. Roilo Golez, Councilor Benjo Bernabe, brgy. Captain Teodoro Virata, kagawad Chona Navarro, Boy Francisco, Spare and Strike, Jollibee (Better Living), Shakeys Pizza (SM Bicutan Branch) and Red Ribbon (SM Bicutan), Chowking, Ramon Licardo Jr. (SM Bicutan), SM Hypermarket (Albina Moreno), Jollibee Bldg. A (Jeff Leoncio) and Magnolia Beverages.
