Junior karters vie in Coke Cadet Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Young karters take the spotlight tomorrow as they vie in the three-leg Coca-Cola Formula Cadet Cup and Mini-ROK Cup at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.

Tai Zulberti of CityKart, Jose Luigi Lachica of One Racing and Flynn Jackes of TRS-Castrol Racing Kids go all out to stamp their class in their respective divisions in the event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.

Zulberti renews his rivalry with Fern-C Racing’s Dylan Arambulo and AT Tuason of TRS-Castrol Racing Kids in the Formula Cadet Expert Class while Lachica heads the field in the Formula Cadet Novice division that also features Francis Tanlu of AUTS Racing and top Eagle Cement bets Jacob Ang and Eduardo Coseteng Jr.

Joining the big field in the combined Formula Cadet race are Sean Draeco McLelland, William Casequin of TRS-Castrol Racing Kids, Jacob Chamness and Mikey Jordan of CityKart and Bianca Bustamante of Formula E Racing.

Jackes, meanwhile, sets out to defend his crown against Gabe Cabrera in the Mini-ROK division that also includes Vince Adrian Rojo of Industria Racing, Liam Edward Sacal, Stephen Taylor and Tyger Espino among others.

The Coca-Cola Formula Cadet Cup and the Mini-ROK Cup are side events in the 2012 Coca-Cola KF2-KF3 Cup Series sponsored by Coca-Cola, Yokohama the official tires, Sparco, Motorstar and Aeromed.

Formula SL drivers are also set to strut their wares with Carl Luig of AUTS Racing shooting for another win in the Novice class against Raymond Cudala of Fern-C Racing, Mary Allison Julian of One Racing and CityKart stalwarts Bjonar Eikevik and Carlos Lorenzo; and Jaz Monzones of Natmo Asia-GP1 Racing seeking to stamp his supremacy against Yvana Carangan of AUTS Racing and Wayne Norman Darvin of One Racing.

Newly-crowned champion Nike Mora and Don Batino of Red Bull Supreme Racing eye another 1-2 finish in the SQ Expert division against Jerry Choi Acuna, Philip Rido and Japanese Takehiko Kuchikata as they will be joined by SQ Novice and SQ Veteran karters in the combined field.
