Plopinio, Yuzon seal Xterra team

MANILA, Philippines - Redg Plopinio and Hector Yuzon bagged the last two slots in the Xterra Philippine team vying in the Xterra Off-Road Triathlon Global Championship set Sunday in Maui, Hawaii.

Plopinio and Yuzon garnered the two highest total scores in a recent poll to beat five other aspirants for the coveted slots.

Their scores were based on online votes as well as points they received from the Vaseline Men Xterra Tri-Outs Camp.

Plopinio is a corporate training manager at Sutherland Global Services, while Yuzon is owner of Second Wind running store.

Plopinio and Yuzon thus join coach Noy Jopson and celebrity triathletes Drew Arellano and Matteo Guidicelli in the Vaseline Men Xterra Phl squad in the Maui Xterra Off-Road Triathlon Global Championship.

The team leaves for Hawaii today.
