Race for NCA top honors heats up
MANILA, Philippines - The battle for the Stag Fighter of the Year heats up today as the National Cockers Alliance stages its fifth stag derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Hosted by Atong Ang, Mario Villamor, Eugene Martin, Luding Boongaling and Claude Bautista, the event features the country’s leading breeders/cockers, including Newton Isaac and Arnold Mendoza, who are the frontrunners in the Stag Fighter of the Year with 21-1/2 points.
Manny and Arman Santos are in second with 18 points followed by Rene Medina and Mayor Boyet Joson with 16 1/2 points each, and Danny and Joel Teves, and Ralph Daigo and Bebot Uy with 16 points apiece.
Meanwhile, the next NCA derby will be held Oct. 16 with Boy Valenzuela, Danny and Joel Teves, Newton Isaac and Arnold Mendoza as hosts.
