Parañaque chessfest unfolds tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - The Parañaque Chess Association’s fourth Saturday-only tournament unfolds tomorrow with another huge field expected to clash for top honors in the elementary and high school divisions at Perez Building, Better Living cor. Australia St., Doña Soledad in Parañaque.

The seven-round Swiss system tournament, organized by the PCA and Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club, headed by Cecil Padua, starts at 9 a.m. among players with ratings not exceeding 1900 based on NCFP standard last July.

Cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs in the two-division event, which also stakes prizes for the top three Under-8 and -10 players.
