UE sets anniversary fun run, bowl tourney

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East (UE) will hold a UE Fun Run 2012 and Mixed Tenpin Bowling Tournament Sept. 23, in connection with the 66th UE Foundation Anniversary celebration which will be observed on Sept. 17, 23 to 29 with the theme “We are Warriors”.

This year’s UE anniversary fun run, for which the contestants comprised by UE officers, faculty members, employees, students and special guests will race to the finish line in the three kilometers run for male, and the two kilometers for female, around the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila, at 6 a.m., is for the benefit of the Habagat victims.

The UE bowling tournament will be held at the Paeng’s Midtown Bowl, Robinsons Place Manila, at 10 a.m.The team with highest scores (accumulated scores of six team members in the knockout round) will be declared as winners. The top three winners will receive gold, silver and bronze medals plus cash prizes.
