MANILA, Philippines - Top global port operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) clinched the championship in the third Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) Futsal Cup at the MVA gym at Magallanes Village in Makati City recently, scoring 8 goals in the championship game. ICTSI, handled by coach Arthur Tabuena, was also joined by a player from Campos Lanuza & Co. while PSE Team A (Red), which also included a player from the Securities Clearing Corp. of the Philippines, placed second.
ICTSI claimed three out of four special awards with Mickael Cardoso bagging the MVP award and most goals honors after scoring 12 goals.
Teammate Juan Carlos Golez was named Best Goalkeeper.
In the consolation game, the composite team of PSE Team B with representatives from the Capital Markets Integrity Corporation, I. Ackerman & Co. Inc., and Manila Electric Company squared off with Petron Corporation with Petron placing third. Petron player Knight Cenarosa was also named Best Defender.
The PSE Futsal Cup featured 84 players from various teams largely composed of stock brokers and representatives of publicly listed firms.
