Sea Lions sweep UCAA first round

Manila, Philippines -  Rookie Ardie Dizon and veteran Franklin Mancio combined for 41 points as Olivarez College demolished Manuel L. Quezon University Stallions, 122-68, in the 11th Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (UCAA) men’s basketball tournament at the Olivarez gym in Sucat yesterday.

Dizon came away with 21 points while Mancio added 20 markers for the Sea Lions, who streaked to their fifth straight victory for a sweep of the first round elims in the cagefest supported by Mikasa and Molten Balls.

The Stallions, who won over the Philippine School of Business Administration Jaguars, 80-67, last Friday, dropped to fourth at 2-3.
