Hope, Agot-A rule Ateneo Open

MANILA, Philippines - Hope Alumni copped the women’s championship, while Agot-A took the men’s crown in the second Ateneo Open volleyball tournament Monday at the Blue Eagle gym over the weekend.

Setter Chie Saet, former UST star Bernice Co and high school standout Desiree Cheng delivered the killer blows for Hope Alumni, which came through with a 25-21, 25-19 victory over the fancied Unicorns squad to cop the women’s crown.

Dante Alinsunurin, meanwhile, carried Agot-A to a 25-15, 25-19 victory against All-Stars in the men’s finale.
