Rexona Run 2012 listup extended

- The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  Registration for Rexona Run 2012 is ongoing until Aug. 10 at Riovana stores in Bonifacio Global City and Katipunan, organizers announced. Fees are pegged at P700, P1,600 (P800/team member) and P900 for the 5k, 21k relay and 21k solo category, respectively.

The champion, runner-up and third placer in the 21k solo will receive P7,000, P5,500, and P4,000, in that order, while each member of the top three finishers in the 21k relay division will get P5,000, P4,000, and P3,000; and the best three in the 5k race will win P4,000, P3,000, and P2,000, respectively.

Spicing up the event is Rexona’s challenge for runners to beat the “industry standard,” wherein commemorative key chains will be given to runners that end the race on or before the recommended finishing time.

To qualify, 5k runners must cross the finish line on or before 6:20 a.m., 30 minutes from gun start, and all 21k runners need to finish on or before 7 a.m., 2 hours after gun start.

Also on tap is a series of activities, including entertainment featuring some of today’s hottest bands and celebrities.

Participants can also while away the time playing exciting Kinect video games, or capture their Rexona Run 2012 moments in designated photo booths.

Organizers also said flat screen TVs and mobile phones from Devant and Lenovo will be given away to lucky participants.
