Eagle Ridge links up with Singapore's Raffles

MANILA, Philippines - The sprawling Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club has signed a sister club agreement with the Raffles Country of Singapore where members of both clubs can have free access to their championship golf courses and world-class facilities.

Under the agreement, each proprietary member of both prestigious clubs will be given 12 free rounds each for the whole year subject to tee time availability and other pertinent conditions forged by both clubs.

Eagle Ridge will share with Raffle members the four championship courses designed by Isao Aoki, Andy Dye, Nick Faldo and Greg Norman while Raffles, which has the Palm course which is a regular Asian Tour venue and the Lake course, will open its exclusive doors to Eagle members as well.

Eagle Ridge general manager Buddy Resurreccion said that the tieup with Raffles is the first of such agreements they have laid out for the club also as a way of helping the campaign for local golf tourism.

Meanwhile, the monthly series of tournaments continued at Eagle Ridge with Korean expats cornering six out of the eight divisions disputed.

Cho Han-pyo, Lee Jeong-ju, Jung Kyung-young, Park Soon-in, Kim Hae-soon, Oh Ho-junand Kim Min-ho all prevailed in the respective divisions.

Oscar Patricio prevented another Korean victory in Seniors A when he defeated Ryoo Si-kun by three shots in Seniors A while Romy Garcia claimed the Seniors B crown.

Aside from its four courses, Eagle Ridge has four clubhouses includig a family clubhouse complete with state-of-the-art sports facilities for basketball, badminton, bowling, swimming, lawn tennis and table tennis.
