UE fencers rule POC-PSC Nat'l Games

Manila, Philippines - The UE fencers emerged overall champion in the Philippine Olympic Committee-Philippine Sports Commission (POC-PSC) National Games held May 21-26 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

The UE fencer won 16 medals – seven gold (three individual and four team), four silver (three of them individual medals) and five bronze (four individual medals) – as they outclassed dozens of teams, including those of La Salle (ranked third overall), UP, UST, FEU and Ateneo as well as members of fencing clubs such as the Fencing Club Manila (ranked second overall), the Ateneo Fencing League and Vicious Brainiac Fencing and fencing groups from Angono, Manila and Alabang.
