- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The GT Radial-Circuit Showdown 2012 successfully pulled off its fourth leg at the Clark International Speedway yesterday with 60 participants in the time trial and 32 entries in the 10-lap grid races.

Hundreds of spectators cheered the drivers on and the intensity grew with each grid race on the CIS West Course.

After all the thrills and spills, Eggy Ong came out on top of the Grid A race followed by Rafael La O’ and Marc Thomann. La O’ proved unstoppable as he also seized the Grid B champion’s trophy followed by Allan Arguelles and Philip Alvendia. In Grid C, Adrian Lampano, Mark Saludes and Marben Nazal took the top three honors, respectively.

More cars, drivers and tuners vied for top honors in the time trial, which put premium on speed that thrilled spectators and competitors.

Carlos Anton walked away with the day’s best time of 1:05.003, which was nearly two seconds ahead of Thomann and Edward de la Rosa who competed in Bracket A (open class).

Bracket B went to Ong, Paolo Martinez, and Mark Anthony Castro. GT 130 champion driver Dean Joson, Jem Querimit, and Jessie Mance topped Bracket C.

Edwin Rodriguez, Micheal Bryan Co, and Mark Sy took home the trophies for Bracket D. Bracket E awards went to Jay Calano, Christopher Sy and Ferdinand Uy.
