MANILA, Philippines - Cousins Aidric Chan and Carl Corpus capped their domination of their respective age-brackets by chalking up contrasting wins in the eighth and final leg of the ICTSI Jungolf Summer Circuit at the executive course of the Valley Golf and Country Club in Antipolo recently.
Corpus roared to a 33-stroke win over Perry Bucay in Class D for players 9-10 years with a 36-hole effort of 153 while Chan assembled 152 and captured the Class C (11-12 years) plum by six over Ryan Monsave.
Monsave’s elder brother, Ivan, emerged the Class B (13-14) winner with his 145 enough for a five-shot win over Korean Kim Tae-woo in the eighth leg of the tourney sponsored chiefly by International Container Terminal Services, Inc.
The circuit is also sponsored by Philippine Airlines, Pancake House, Teriyaki Boy, Sizzlin’ Pepper, Golf Depot, Friends of Jungolf, McDonald’s, Pioneer Insurance and Inquirer Golf.
It was an all-Korean show in Class A as Chang Yo-chen nipped Jun Oh hoo by a mere stroke with his 155.
In the girls division, Jan Soleil Punzalan was the special division winner, Dana Gonzales claimed Class A, Kayla Nocum topped Class C and Laila Barro prevailed in Class D.
