Sta. Lucia Tour kicks off at Summit

-

MANILA, Philippines - Members of clubs operating under the umbrella of Sta. Lucia Realty are set to vie in a series of competitions in the next five months that will bring them to three championship courses in Luzon and Cebu and another in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dubbed as the Sta. Lucia Tour, the four-leg series kicking off this week at the Summit Point Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas, is designed to firm up and foster inter-club cooperation among the members of Sta. Lucia-operated courses that keeps growing each year.

“The family concept is the main inspiration behind the Sta. Lucia Tour. We have members from nine clubs being invited to play and we’re glad that through the years, support for it has snowballed and we’re inclined to keep it growing,” said Vicente Santos of the Tour executive committee.

Sta. Lucia’s growing family of topnotch clubs already includes Eagle Ridge and Orchard in Cavite, Summit Point and Royale Tagaytay in Batangas, Lake Caliraya in Batangas, Lakewood in Cabanatuan, Beverly Place in Pampanga, Alta Vista in Cebu and Rancho Palos Verdes in Davao.

In the opening leg set June 7-8 at Summit Point, the participating two-man teams will be playing two different formats, best-ball and scramble.

From Summit, the Tour moves to Lakewood Golf and Country Club in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on July 12-13. In August, Sta. Lucia is offering a trip to Bangkok, Thailand – subsidized like the three local legs – serving as the third stop on Aug. 23-26. The series winds up at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Cebu Oct. 10-13.
