Phl 13-U plays goodwill match in Cabanatuan

MANILA, Philippines - The Phl 13-under is playing an exhibition game against the Cabanatuan Selection today at the Daan Sarile gym in Cabanatuan City as part of the team’s continuing training program under the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas headed by Manny Pangilinan.

Architect P.B. Garcia Jr is hosting the goodwill match between the Cabanatuan team coached by Jing Rivera and the Phl youth under coach Mark Herrera.

The goodwill match is part of the SBP’s massive build-up for the national team culled from the various schools.

“This is a great experience for these young boys, who already showed a lot of promise in their games,” said Herrera, five-time Jr. PBA champion coach, of the Phl youth that recently ruled the Valle Verde league and KABAKA Inter-school.

Members of the team are Mathew Concepcion, Julian Jugo, Diego Rodrigo and Migo Santos (La Salle Greenhills), Fort Dazo and Kean Herrera (Ateneo),Clint Escamis (San Beda Alabang),Karl Bautista (AMA Computer)), Coleng Garcia and CJ Balingit (Notre Dame), and Stacey Tibayan (Letran), Pawandeep Singh (Pampanga), Carlos Gatmaytan (La Salle Zobel), Francis Escandor (Ateneo de Davao).
