Boxing coaches, NGAP program up in Scoop

MANILA, Philippines - The road Filipino Olympians will tread on the way to this year’s London Olympic Games and the renewed golf development program will be tackled in today’s Scoop sa Kamayan session at Kamayan Restaurant-Padre Faura.

National coaches Pat Gaspi and Roel Velasco and lone Olympic qualifier in boxing Mark Barriga have been invited to tackle what kind of training Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines has lined up to prepare the fighter in quest for the country’s  first Olympic gold medal.

The Philippine Amateur Judo Association will also grace the session, sponsored by Powerade, AKTV and FILA sports wear, will discuss how Fil-Japanese Tomohiko Hoshima was able to earn a ticket to London.

National Golf Association of the Philippines board member Raymond Bunquin will also appear as guest to spell out NGAP’s extensive development program under the new leadership of its president, sportsman Tommy Manotoc.

Program starts at 11 a.m. and will be aired delayed over ACTV and UNTV delayed at 6 p.m.
