Panganiban entry dominates World Slashers Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Isabela Mayor Jose Panganiban’s entry Oxford Princess Casino 7-Stag Sept. 30 posted eight wins to emerge solo champion in the World Slashers Cup-2 Eight-Cock Invitational Derby at the Smart Araneta Coliseum recently.

Two entries, Enzo Altabaz of Joey Sy and Benny Salazar and ALJ19/IPSegal of Tunu Legaspi and Junjun Lim of Boy Lechon, scored seven points apiece to share runner-up honors in the event which drew 141 entries.

Ang NICP Party List, another Panganiban entry from noted Basilan breeder Ronald Barandino, finished with 6.5 points while his third bet, Ang NICP Action Na, netted five points for a total performance of 18 wins, three draws and three losses out of 24 fights.

Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions, the six-day derby was held in cooperation with Thunderbird Bexan XP and Thunderbird Romoxtyl.    

An agri-vet store owner and Thunderbird dealer in Basilan, Barandino has scored several victories in past derbies, including a big Pasay event, in San Juan and Roligon.

MBB Marquiz also scored 6.5 points while five other bets finished with six wins against two losses, including EFZ Erikka Jillian, RCA Thunderbee, Excalibur-LC, FTE-JM and MaySabong.com Ngayon/Diamond Z.
