NCA holds derby May 22, 24, 26 at Ynares Sports Arena
MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance World Championship Derby will be held May 22, 24, and 26 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The top breeders and cockers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao are expected to clash for NCA Cocker of the Year honors with the winner getting a big boost for the Cocker of the Year award.
At presstime, the tandems of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olaño, and Manny Santos and Arman Santos, led the race with 55 points with Rep. Rudy Albano and Jimmy Angat second with 47 1/2 points.
Tied for third place are Mayor Boyet Joson and Cong. Patrick Antonio with 46 1/2 points.
George Torres and Claude Bautista are also in the running for NCA Cocker of the Year with 45 points while Mayor Ellan Nagaño has 43 points.
Meanwhile, Patrick Antonio’s Pasay International emerged the solo champion in last week’s NCA derby.
Efren Canlas’ Jimafer BG and Jade Resort 2 finished second with four points while RT 114/Roosterville of Ruel Ricafort and Edgar Santos finished with three points.
