Top skaters to sizzle on ice in Summerskate

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s top and upcoming skaters vie in the 12th Summerskate 2012 which starts Monday at the Olympic-sized ice skating rink at SM Mall of Asia and the recreational rink at SM Southmall.

The four-day competition ending May 24 will be played under the Ice Skating Institute system with the organizers inviting all skaters, including novice and the pros to join.

Events on tap are artistic solo, couples 1-10 (similar/mixed), couples spotlight (low/medium/intermediate/high), dance solo 1-10, ensemble, family spotlight, figures 1-10, footwork 1-10, freestyle 1-10, freestyle synchro team 1-10;

Hockey-skating, shooting and goalie, interpretive 1-10, jump and spin (low/medium/intermediate/high), speedracing, spotlight solo, stroking (alpha/beta/gamma/delta), surprise events (all ages and levels), team compulsories 1-10, team surprise (all levels), pairs 1-10, Pre Alpha/Alpha/ Beta/Gamma/Delta Solo, Production Team, Rhythmic Skating and Solo Compulsories.
