Earthly mag golf on at Intramuros

MANILA, Philippines - The third Earthly Magazine Open golf tournament fires off today with Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Hermino Coloma Jr. gracing the event at Club Intramuros.

The green event, first organized by web-based environmental clearinghouse Earthly Magazine (www.earthlymagazine.com.ph) in 2009, is backed by major sponsors Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, Las Piñas Mayor Vergel “Nene” Aguilar, Parañaque Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr., Unilever, Golden Archer Group Inc., Globe Telecom, and the Casino Filipino-Manila Pavilion branch.

A shotgun start is set at 6:30 am. with Coloma hitting the ceremonial drive in the event, also serving as a homecoming of sorts since Earthly Magazine’s maiden tournament was also hosted by Club Intramuros on Sept. 11, 2009 with 45 media practitioners and golf enthusiasts participating.
