Japan baseball legend to lead Razcals buildup
MANILA, Philippines - Japan Major League star Norihiro Komada will conduct a clinic tomorrow among 10-year-old kids, including the national team dubbed the “Little Rascals” gearing up for next week’s Asian Championships in Singapore.
The event, hosted by the Philippine Tot Baseball, serves as part of the Philippine-Japan Friendship Baseball seminar at the Sto. Niño Baseball Field in Marikina City.
Joining the Little Razcals in the seminar are the members of the Marikina Youth Baseball/Softball Foundation and the Manila Japanese Baseball Organization.
Making the Yomuri Giants superstar’s guest stint possible are Baseball Manufacturer Nagase Kenko Corp., Baseball Equipment Maker ZETT Corporation and the International Human Rights Society, according to Tot Baseball president Boy Tingzon.
The event is also aimed at giving the “Razcals” team the venue to hone their skills before they vie in Singapore on May 23-26.
The Little Razcals are out to retain their crown in the Asian tilt to represent the region again in the PONY Mustang World Series in Burleson Texas slated Aug. 2-6.
