Blackwater, Pacific Pipes prime up for quarters

-

MANILA, Philippines - Blackwater Sports and RnW Pacific Pipes try to seal their quarterfinal stint against also-ran Cagayan and Junior Powerade today as action in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup resumes at the San Juan gym.

The Elite (3-4) take on the winless Rising Suns at 2 p.m. while the Steel Masters (4-3) face the Jr. Powerade Tigers (2-6) at 4 p.m.

Blackwater is coming off back-to-back losses but is fancied to bounce back against Cagayan, which has dropped its first seven games.

Pacific Pipes also bowed to Cebuana Lhuillier the last time out but is also expected to dominate the Jr. Tigers, who have lost their last five games and sixth overall in eight starts.
