AMA Kid Titans sweep elims in Seaoil league
MANILA, Philippines - The AMA Kid Titans team of coach Mark Herrera swept the elimination of the Seaoil League with a 5-0 record, beating San Beda College, Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, San Agustine in Makati, Diliman Preparatory School and St. Stephen.
The AMA Kid Titans will face De La Salle Zobel in the next round.
Bannered by Vehnjo Maximo, Wilson Lagaras and Mathew and Martin Gabriel, the AMA Kid Titans joined the league as part of the basketball under Herrera, AMA University as head of basketball operations.
“It is important that the players continue to play together to learn the basic principle of team work,” said Herrera, who also coaches the RP youth 13-under team and five-time Jr PBA champion Talk N Text.
Assistant coaches are Eugene Bautista and Edwin Ancheta.
Herrera said the basketball program has the full support of AMA University headed by first vice president and COO Arnel Hibo, Aldric Manrique, school director AMA (St. Agustine International School) and sports coordinator Larry Baltazar.
