In This Corner

MANILA, Philippines - An eight-round showdown between Angelito Mirin and Roy Lagusan will be the featured episode of Rod Nazario’s In This Corner over PTV-4 tonight.

The bantamweight fight, presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the PCSO and Petron, went the distance as the two slugged it out from beginning to end.

A special feature of the 7-8 p.m. only boxing show on primetime is the interview of reigning WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro, and current Philippine flyweight titlist Ardin Diale.

An interview with promoter Dante Almario, and clips from a previous fight of Mirin against Rene Dacquel will also be shown.

The match was one of two supporting bouts of the `Bakbakan Sa Sucat’ promotions made possible by D.S Almario International Promotions, Kapitan Mamerto Sevilla and the Sucat Barangay Council, in cooperation with In This Corner.
