MANILA, Philippines - University of the East came away with two victories, including a come-from-behind 6-4 win over Adamson University Alumni, to wrest the solo lead in the women’s division of the Cebuana Lhuillier Summer Grandslam National Softball Open Championships in Clark Field, Pampanga.

UE exploded with four runs in the fourth inning as it cashed in on Adamson ‘s centerfielder Sarah Jane Agravante’s error following Genejoy Parilla’s hit that scored playing coach Joy Lasquite, Jelly Mecabalo, and Marlyn Francisco.

Parilla also scored from a double by Brenda Bacarisas in the ensuing play to put UE ahead for good, 6-4.
