Milo Checkmate chess up at Eton Cyberpod

MANILA, Philippines - The Milo Checkmate clinics will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday with a big field clashing for top honors in different categories at Eton Cyberpod Corinthian on Ortigas Ave. cor EDSA Quezon City.

The participants will play in an age-group tournament and simultaneous exhibition matches against masters.

The top four winners in various age-groups (7-under; 9-under; 11-under; and juniors categories) and the victors against masters will be awarded medals. Certificates of participation will also be given to all enrollees courtesy of the sponsoring Milo.

Among the schools represented are Kinderville Learning Center, Quezon City; Montessori Integrated School Antipolo; St. Stephen’s High School, Manila; St. Mary’s Academy, Kalookan; Immaculate Heart of Mary College, Parañaque; St. James College in Quezon City; Sacred Heart Academy Novaliches; Little Presidents Learning Palace,  Manila; Christ Life Academy, Bacoor; Angels In Heaven School, Cabuyao; P.O. Domingo Montessori School, Tarlac and other venues like Nepo Mall - Dagupan; Ultimart Shopping Plaza -San Pablo City; Mcdonalds - Binondo.and Eton-Ortigas.

These tournaments aim at evaluating the students’ performance after having given them a series of lessons.

Meanwhile, special Checkmate classes in NCR will be held starting April 30 while the provincial classes in Lipa, Cabuyao, San Pablo, Dagupan and Tarlac will start May 3.
