Dela Rosa, Olano up in NCA top cocker tilt
MANILA, Philippines - The chase for the NCA Cocker of the Year title heats up today with another top-notch derby lined up at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano pace the race with 44 1/2 points with Manny and Armand Santos in second with 42 points.
Patrick Antonio pooled 39 points for third followed by George Torres and Claude Bautista (38 points) and Mayor Elan Nagano (36 ½ points).
Hosted by Jun-Jun Salazar, T. Sevilla, JR Tolentino, Eric dela Rosa, and Butchoy Olaño, the event also features the entries of guests Larry Rubinos, Emil Chua, Mayor Panganiban, Anthony Lim and Eddiebong Plaza.
Heading the NCA roster are Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Ellan Nagaño, Rene Medina, Bebot Uy, Jun Topacio, James Uy, Eugene Martin, Luding Boongaling, Manny Santos, Armand Santos, Patrick Antonio, Gerry Ramos, Jun Santiago and Gov. Ito Ynares, Nestor Mercado, Lito Orillaza, Charlie Ang, Joel Teves, Danny Teves, Mario Villamor, Henry Tan, Vic Yap, Pipo Soliman, Ruel Ricafort, Boy Valenzuela, George Torres, Claude Bautista and Boyet Joson.
Meanwhile, the next NCA derby, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, will be held on May 1 to be hosted by Gov. Vic Yap, Pipo Soliman, Ruel Ricafort and Valenzuela.
