Tan, Ong rule ABC quarterly tourney

MANILA, Philippines - Benny Tan of Concrete Ventures turned in an eight-game series 1753 to cop the Group 1 title while Kathlyn Ong of Philflex Cables took Group 2 with 1435 in the Architects Bowling Club’s first quarterly championship at E Lanes, Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Buddy Segui of American Wires scored 1607, Jimmy Ocampo of Duraflex Wires & Cables made 1683 and Ronnie Javier of Steel-tech had 1674 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 1 in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Marlou Del Rosario of Philflex Wires submitted 1411, Zeny Prudente of Moldex Pipes rolled 1405 and Frederick Chuongco of Boysen Wallguard scored 1385 to place second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by American Wires, ABC Phils., Atlanta Pipes, Crown Pipes, Emerald Pipes, JS Alvarez, Firefly-ROYU, HCG Phils., Crown Water Pipes, Boysen Perlecente/Knoxout, We Konstruct, Boysen Virtuoso, Conc. Ventures, Duraflex Cables, Boysen Acrytex/Healthy Homes, National Paints and La Vida Verde, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of Fun Games to be followed by 1st Quarter awarding of cash and trophies also at E Lanes Greenhills, San Juan City.
