Phl 13-Under plays exhibition games in Araw ng Davao

MANILA, Philippines - The Phl 13-under team will play in a series of goodwill games in Davao City as part of the grassroots outreach program of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

The team, coached by five-time Batang PBA champion Mark Herrera, has been invited by Davao City Mayor Inday Sarah  Duterte and Vice Mayor Rody Duterte to play exhibition games as part of the celebration of Araw ng Davao March 20-24.

The team will play Mandaya All stars, the Davao Regional Athletic Association (DAVRAA) Selection that will compete in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa, and other Davao teams.

The Phl youth recently captured titles in the Valle Verde League and KABAKA Interschool League.

The team members are Mathew Concepcion (Lasalle Greenhills), Earl Lagaras and Joshua Santos (AMA Computer), Diego Rodrigo (La Salle Greenhills), Fort Dazo (Ateneo), Gian Mamuyac and Benedict Cruz (Lourdes Mandaluyong), Clint Escamis (San Beda Alabang), Karl Bautista (AMA Computer), Kean Herrera (Ateneo), Coleng Garcia and CJ Balingit (Notre Dame), Julian Jugo (La Salle Greenhills), Stacey Tibayan (Letran), Pawandeep Singh (Pampanga), Carlos Gatmaytan (La Salle Zobel), Francis Escandor (Ateneo de Davao), Migo Santos and Noel Bonleon (La Salle Greenhills).

Herrera is assisted by Nonoy Bonleon, Edwin Ancheta, Eugene Bautista and Wilson Lagaras.

The SBP is supported by SBP chairman Manny Pangilinan, vice chairman Ricky Vargas and executive director Sonny Barrios.
