Agila FC claws Socceroo FC, stays at third in UFL
MANILA, Philippines - Agila FC blanked Team Socceroo FC, 5-0, to remain at solo third and within striking distance of the leaders in the Second Division of the United Football League at the University of Makati field in Makati City over the weekend.
Paul Isiah Madrona scored a brace, the first in the third minute and the other coming half an hour later, to set the tone for victory for the Agila booters, who raised their total to 21 points on seven wins against three losses.
Fitch Arboleda also knocked in two goals on the 47th and 86th minute while Mark Alvin Caleroso accounted for the other on a 54th minute goal to cap the rout.
Team Socceroo remained at joint No. 5 with 11 points with Union Internacional Manila on three wins, two draws and five defeats.
Pachanga leads the field with 27 points after downing Laos FC, 4-1, Friday night also at the UMak while Diliman Victory Liner FC is at No. 2 with 25 points.
