Cebu inches closer to UFL lead

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Queen City United FC rolled past Team Socceroos, 6-1, to inch close to the pacesetters in the Second Division of the United Football League at the University of Makati field in Makati City yesterday.

Team Socceroos fell from fourth to fifth with 13 points as it took its third defeat against the same number of wins and a draw.

After Flores and Socceroos’ Christopher Roza swapped goals in the first 14 minutes for a 1-1 count, Benedict Luis Ariola broke the tie in the 25th minute with Flores knocking in his second goal three minutes later.
