MANILA, Philippines - Paeng Nepomuceno rolled a six-game series 1517 to top Group 1 while Ronnie Javier scored 1397 to take the early lead in Group 2 in the Architects Bowling Club’s Boysen Open Classic tournament at E Lanes, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills last Tuesday.
Ryan Jalandoon leads Group 3 with a 1111 while Apple Posadas shows the way in the All Ladies Group with 1305 in the nine-day Open tournament sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Benny Ditoc had 1447, Ceasar Muere came up with 1432, Kenneth Chua rolled 1426 and Jermy Posadas submitted 1416 to place second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in Group 1.
In Group 2, Rodel Bagohin shot a 1369 for second followed by Francis Dy (1292), Ronald Bautista (1290) and Manny Padit (1285).
Eugene Panaguiton (1096), Boyet Libiran (1045), Boy Roldan (1044) and Ricky Martinez (1040) placed second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in Group 3.
In the All Ladies Group, Alessandra Madrigal scored 1284 for second followed by Joan Mendoza (1227), Liza del Rosario (1225) and May Sabater (1196).
Lara Posadas and Apple Posadas combined for 829 to seize the ladies doubles lead. Paeng Nepomuceno and Ritchie Poblete had a 974 to pace the Group 1 doubles. Double event on Group 2 leaders are Rodel Bagohin and Caloy Lagman while the tandem of Bibs Luzande and Jerry Cham topped Group 3. Masters finals will held this weekend, also at E Lanes, San Juan.
