- Joey Villar -

MANILA, Philippines - Pachanga FC edged Cebu Queen City United FC, 1-0, to remain unbeaten in the Second Division of the United Football League at the Rizal Memorial Stadium last Monday while boosting its bid for promotion to the First Division of the UFL.

The Pachanga booters pounced on the ouster of Adlai Marcel Rivera on a red card on the 28th minute with Alfredo Gonzales scoring on the 49th minute for their fifth straight victory and the solo lead with 15 points.

Diliman Victory Liner FC is just behind with 13 points on four wins and a draw.

Diliman’s latest win came at the expense of Team Socceroo in a 4-2 decision at The Turf at the Bonifacio Global City.

Laos FC, meanwhile, rallied past Lions Meltique Beef FC, 2-1, also at The Turf following late goals by Omar Hassan Ali and Johnny Dalman in a 12-minute stretch starting from the 63rd minute. Laos moved up to third with nine points.

Roland John Bangayan knocked in a goal on the 25th minute as the Lions took a 1-0 lead. But Laos FC battled back in the second half with two goals to snatch the win and keep the Lions in the bottom of the 12-team second division standings with only a point to show.

Forza FC yielded third place as it absorbed a 6-9 loss from Manila All-Japan FC.

Shinichi Tanaka unloaded four goals while Daisuke Hattori came away with a hat-trick in nailing the Manila All-Japan side’s first win after four losses for three points.

Forza actually tied Laos at nine points but slid to fourth on the former’s -7 goal differential against the latter’s five.

In other Second Division results, Dolphins United blanked Agila FC, 2-0, and Union Internacional Manila buried Sunken Garden United FC, 4-1.
