Adamson U inducts top athletes to Hall of Fame

MANILA, Philippines - Adamson University pays tribute to athletes who carried and brought honors to the school’s and country’s colors in local and international competitions in fitting  ceremonies today at the Adamson Theater on the San Marcelino campus.

Ten individuals, led by sports legends Rafael “Paeng” Nepomuceno, Hector Calma and Filomeno “Boy” Codiñera,  will be enshrined to the Athletes Hall of Fame in the 2 p.m. colorful rites.

During last Friday’s SCOOP Sa Kamayan session, athletics directress Malou Isip said the awards ceremony is part of Adamson’s 80th Year Anniversary’s six-month  celebration spread until August.

Others to be honored are former basketball players Kenneth Duremdes, Marlou Aquino, Eddie Laure, Gherome Ejercito and Emelia Vega, softball coach Ana Maria Santiago and track and field ace Djundi Binas.
